Always A Bridesmaid, Never A Bride

Mikey went Reserve today. Still sitting on three majors and 13 points. Try, try again tomorrow.

Thanks for taking so many great pictures Cardigrandma!

You guys show on dirt?! WOW!! How cool!!!! My dog moves so much better on dirt than the crappy, slippery rubber mats they use around here at indoor shows.

Good luck tomorrow!

This show facility is also a rodeo arena. The entire facility is covered, but open on the sides (usually this time of year it's frigid, but we were in the 80's yesterday and everybody was melting). The dirt is good and not good. Better surface mostly, but hard to keep the dogs clean before their class, and lots of really interesting smells for the dogs to be distracted by, which is not so good.

Mikey's registered name is Pecan Valley DreamCatcher. Also known as Mike the Mouth!

Oh, duh. Mikey's by Ch. Rememberance Ann D. Rooney and out of Ch. Pecan Valley Cloud Cover. And still best known as Mike the Mouth (I don't know which side of the family THAT comes from. . .)

How long has he been sitting on all those wins? I met someone who only need 1 point and it took a whole year till she finally got it. Oh well, I guess that's part of the sport. Mikey is a gorgeous blue boy!

Believe it or not, we have been chassing those last two points for 1 year and 4 months! Gaaaaah! Mikey just collected points and majors like crazy the first five shows we went to, and now, nuthin'! We really havn't done much showing the past year (I think 3 or 4) but still we obviously lost the momentum we had for a while!
