I don't know, ask them! The kids just have no respect for 'holiday' or 'yippee, no alarm clock this morning'. Although technically 6:15 is sleeping in compared to our regular wake up time of 5.
The plan for today is a puppy pool party, weather permitting, and dinner with the family. Mikey and my parent's dog Meg love playing in the baby wading pool. Holly mostly likes to stand in the middle of the smaller pool and bark at everyone for having too much fun. She holds the title 'Fun Police' for a reason, you know! The weather doesn't look good for our plans right now, but whatever fun we manage, I will share pictures!

Cardigrandma is looking forward to dinner/picnic!!! It is the birthday of our country! We are blessed to live here and today is a good day to remember all of our ancestors who have kept the American dream alive and well for us. It is also Bobbie's birthday so there will be special cupcakes (doggie chicken and rice) and 4 presents so each dog will get one!!! Too bad the pool had to be closed, but it will still be a fun day!!!
